The Houghton & Wyton Bowls Club was founded in 1975 on the present site and currently has 53 members and 4 life members. Membership is open to ladies, gentlemen, and young persons over 12 years of age.

Being an outdoor club the playing season is limited to the spring and summer months. New members are welcome at any time but the best time for joining is March/April just before the start of the playing season.

The green is provided by the Parish Council but maintained and developed by the Club. Recent changes to the Green include improvements to the playing surface and provision of end banks meeting English Bowling Association and English Bowling Federation specifications. It now contains  6-rinks, and is located adjacent to the Sports Pavilion which is shared with other village sports clubs - Football, Cricket and many other activities thoughout the year.

The Club competes in the Huntingdonshire Bowls League (men) and the Huntingdonshire Women’s Bowling League and also has teams in the popular Millicent Childs League for the over 60s. These league games take place on Thursday evenings, Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons respectively.

The Club also runs a variety of internal competitions each season and members may also enter County competitions. Besides league games the Club facilities are available for recreation and enjoyment at any time outside maintenance periods, especially week-ends. Visitors with the correct equipment and footwear may also use the Green subject to availability of rinks and payment of the published fees.
